Basic electrodes for welding steels

P52

DESCRIPTION

OGET P52 is a basic coated quality electrode, designed to pass the most severe X-ray requirements in all welding positions. The arc is ductile with very low spatter. The set up rate and puddle fluidity permit gases to escape even when the lowest currents are used for out of position welding.

APPLICATIONS

OGET P52 is recommended for the highest quality X-ray work, particularly process piping. It is used extensively in shipyard, field erection, and pipe welding fabrication.

P63

DESCRIPTION

OGET P63 is a basic coated, low-hydrogen electrode designed to weld pipes, castings, forgings, and plate heat resistant steels. Cleaning the joint area prior to welding is imperative and the use of preheat and postheat treatments may be required, depending on the type and thickness of the base material to be welded.

APPLICATIONS

For high temperature welding service in the steam power, petrochemical pressure vessel, and pressure piping industries.
